The ASM Group of Companies is continually looking for new opportunities to expand its services to the public and private sector. When these opportunities arise funding is in place to invest in personnel, vehicles and equipment to service new contracts. It is also company policy to carry spare vehicles of all types, this enables us to provide a service to our customers that is not disrupted by servicing, MOT’s etc.
ASM has five operating sites based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Thame, Oxfordshire and Kings Langley, Hertfordshire totalling some Fifteen acres and employing over eighty staff.
This is the company’s main processing site where a major redevelopment programme has just been completed. The whole area of the site has been concreted and bunded. Underground interceptors have been installed to contain any oil or lubricant spillage. The new equipment commissioned includes a fully computerised 50 tonne weighbridge, a 960 tonne hydraulic shear, three 35 tonne material handling cranes and a new five bay vehicle dismantling workshop incorporating the latest technology in end-of-life vehicle de-polluting treatment. The operations on site are conducted from a new purpose-built building that houses management and admin staff.
This is the company’s holding compound where vehicles are stored awaiting clearance before being transferred to the main site for processing.
Two warehouse units from which our subsidiary company, ASM Auto Recycling Ltd, operates a recycled auto parts business supplying used auto parts to both trade and the public. Vehicles are collected throughout the home counties for leading insurance companies using a fleet of multi-vehicle transporters.
This is the company’s auction site where accident damaged vehicles are stored and prepared for auction, which are held on a weekly basis. We have just completed building a new office complex at Thame which also houses a state-of-the-art Used Car Parts warehouse and service department. We are also developing the site to enable us to process more vehicles.
All sites hold the necessary waste management licences including a licence for petrol storage / dispensing and have the benefit of 24-hour video security. The company has been working with Aylesbury Vale District Council for many years handling and disposing all of the abandoned vehicles in the district. Buckinghamshire County Council is one of our biggest clients who we have worked with for approximately twenty years. We are currently the management and transport contractor for their civic amenity sites throughout the county supplying total facility management for their nine sites.
As well as facility management we offer BCC a wide range of services including glass bottle bank emptying, fridge collection / disposal, tyre collection / disposal and gas bottle collection / disposal.
ASM Auto Recycling is a member of the National Salvage Group and due to this we collect cars for many of the leading insurance companies including Royal Bank of Scotland and AXA.
We also hold the contract for collection, storage and disposal of abandoned / untaxed cars for South Beds District Council.
In 2007 ASM purchased a 2-acre site in Kings Langley, Herts. and is currently developing the yard. The new development will include a new office block, weighbridge, fully equipped 2-bay de-pollution workshop, non-ferrous processing workshop and new concrete surface throughout.
